Affordable sensors, worth it

I was looking for a decent Sensors Pack and Makershop had a good deal during a flash sale. I saved about 20% off the usual price, which was a big factor in my decision. The components seem sturdy enough for my small projects. Shipping cost was reasonable, and it took 5 days to reach Denver. It felt like I got a lot for my money, so I'm happy with the purchase.

Great 3D Printer!

I ordered the Creality 3D Printer and it arrived so fast, like three days to reach my place in California! Setting it up was pretty straightforward, and I've already printed a bunch of stuff. The quality is really impressive for the price point. Makershop is awesome, I'm definitely coming back for more filament and maybe even a laser engraver next time. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for maker supplies!

Good value, minor shipping delay

I decided to try Makershop for an Arduino Kit and some Jumper Wires. The ordering process was simple enough on their website. Shipping took about a week, which was a little longer than I expected, but it wasn't a huge deal. Everything was well-packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The Arduino board powered up right away, and all the components in the kit were there. I had a quick question about a resistor value, and their customer support replied to my email within a day. Overall, a solid experience and I'd consider them again for future projects.

Are their microcontrollers and sensor packs legit? Or should I just go with Sparkfun or Adafruit for that kind of stuff?

J Jacob Parker 2 weeks ago
I've bought a few Arduino clones and some sensors from makershop, they've all worked perfectly fine for my projects. No complaints.

They're fine, honestly. Quality is comparable to Sparkfun for most things, sometimes cheaper too. I mostly buy filament there now but their electronics are solid.

Thinking of grabbing a new 3D printer from makershop, probably a Creality one. Anyone know how long shipping usually takes to like, California?

M Mark Lopez 3 weeks ago
Mine got to LA in about a week last month, maybe 8 days? Came pretty quick.

Yeah, I'm in NorCal and it was usually 5-7 business days for my stuff. Depends on the size of the package too I think.

hey, trying to use a 'new customer' discount AND a free shipping code at makershop. Will that work or do they usually only let you use one at a time?

D Donna G. 1 week ago
Nah, usually it's one coupon per order for them. Most places are like that.

Pretty sure you can only stack certain codes, like if it's a specific product discount with free shipping, but general ones usually don't combine. Check the fine print on the codes.

My wife got me a soldering iron from them for my birthday but it's not the one I wanted. Can I return it easily without a hassle?

O Olivia G. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, returns were pretty straightforward for me. Just gotta make sure it's unused and in the original packaging.

I returned a workbench once because it was too big for my space. They sent a return label and refunded me after it got back to them. Took about a week and a half total, but no issues.

Are the Robotics Arms they sell actually decent quality for hobbyists, or just cheap knock-offs?

S Sofia T. 2 weeks ago
They're not like industrial grade or anything, but for hobby use and learning, they're surprisingly good. I got one a while back and it's been fun messing with it.

Depends on which one you're looking at. The entry-level ones are good for messing around, but if you want precision for something serious, you might need to upgrade components or look elsewhere. For the price, they're fine though.
